"Excellent - from booking to delivery! The face painting and balloon modelling were fantastic - I have never seen such beautiful face art and the balloons - there'll have been a few spectacular Octopus and Unicorns around Glasgow this weekend! The creative clay was also very ... creative! Thank you very much for our attending our charity event and entertaini ng our children."

Calm Clinic (Schools)

Spider Arts in the CommunityCalm Clinic is our art therapy programme specially designed to support local Primary Schools and children who are experiencing social, emotional or behavioural difficulties.

Our Art Therapist will work with the child individually or within a small group to meet their specific needs, whilst supporting their family and teachers to better understand and respond to their needs.

Individual art therapy is a form of non-directive psychotherapy, which is child-led and allows expression, offering a safe and contained space to explore and process issues or feelings raised by the child.

Calm Clinic Individual Art Therapy Sessions

Regular one-to-one Art Therapy sessions support children, who have experienced significant loss or trauma, to process difficult emotions and experiences through creative methods such as play and art making, at their own pace, whilst developing self-confidence and coping skills.

Calm Clinic Group Art Therapy Sessions

Group therapy is helpful for supporting young people to build confidence and social skills. A group setting can be beneficial for children with mild to moderate social, emotional or behavioural difficulties and can focus on specific issues such as social skills, loss or transitions.

Calm Clinic Drop-in Sessions

Children may self-refer to the Calm Clinic drop-in counselling service. Sessions last 15 minutes and offer a private space for the child to come and talk about any problems or worries they might have or for them to come and make art to help them relax. They may attend on their own or bring a friend.

Our therapists also offer individual therapeutic sessions and facilitate peer supervision groups for teaching staff to support collegiate mental health and wellbeing.
